What is KYC and why do I need to verify my account?

KYC (Know Your Customer) is the process involving identifying and verifying the identity of Triip Protocol users in order to facilitate our protocol’s compliance with Anti-Money Laundering laws (AML) and to protect our system from accidentally facilitating criminal activities.

Triip Protocol is an initiative of Triip Pte. Ltd., a Singaporean entity. Therefore we strictly follow the rules and law of Singapore.

Where do I complete my KYC process and send ID document?

Step 1: After you logged in to your account at Triip.me. Click on your profile picture and go to Wallet.

Or you can go to this direct link: https://triip.me/wallet (required to log in first)

Step 2: Go to Verify Account and click on VERIFY button.

Step 3: Complete the information as instruction, and click on BEGIN VERIFICATION

Step 4: Have your ID document ready. Choose your ID type, and submit photos of ID documents: front, back, and 1 selfie with your ID document. Press the CONFIRM button.

*NOTES

  • Photos must be clear and high-resolution, with all information clearly visible.
  • Documents presented must be original (not copies).
  • ID card/Passport must be valid (for example, passports that have expired will not be accepted).
  • Acceptable Formats: JPEG, PNG.
  • Maximum Size: 10 MB.

Step 5: Recheck your information and photos. If they are correct, press CONFIRM. If you want to edit the information or photos, click ✏️ EDITbutton.

Step 6: After clicking “CONFIRM”, your KYC status will be “Pending”. Your documents have been successfully submitted. Please come back later to check the KYC status.

Verified KYC

Verification document guidelines for doing KYC with Triip Protocol

1. Photo of the front of your ID document (Passport/Driving License/ID card) showing your personal details.

The copy must be legible and it must not be modified by any photo editing software.

2. Photo of the back of your ID document (Passport/Driving License/ID card) showing your personal details.

  • It must display the entire page.
  • Every word on the page must be legible.
  • The ID document must still be valid.
  • The copy must not be modified by any photo editing software.

How to shoot a proper selfie with your ID for KYC

  • Every word on the page must be legible, make sure your fingers are not covering any text.
  • The content of the ID document showing details must be readable.
  • The selfie must be clear and not blurry.
  • The selfie must not be modified by any photo editing software.

Do not wear glasses, headphones or wireless hands-free devices, a hat or head covering. If you wear a hat or head covering for religious or medical purposes, please make sure that your hat or head covering does not cast shadows on your face.

NOTE:

  • Acceptable Formats: JPEG, PNG.
  • Maximum Size: 10 MB.

Why is my KYC application rejected?

If your KYC application is rejected, it might be due to these following reasons:

1. Your documents do not match.

2. Your passport is not valid at the moment you submitted your KYC application.

3. Your passport is not legible and/or it appeared to be modified by a photo editing software.

4. Your selfie is unclear and blurry.

Please resubmit your application again and make sure you carefully follow our requirements in order to have your application successfully approved next time. Please also note that Triip Protocol has sole discretion whether to approve or reject any application.

How do I know if my KYC application is approved?

You will receive a notification email informing you of the status of the KYC process. (Please check all your email box including junk/spam mail)

My KYC status is pending. How long does it take to have my KYC application approved?

We are very excited that you have supported Triip Protocol and we want to get your KYC application approved as soon as possible.

Once you have submitted your KYC application with your detailed documents for verification, our Support Team will check, your document would be approved as quickly as possible if it is valid. Please make sure that your documents for verification are in compliance with the guidelines.

Please wait for our email notifying you about your KYC status. Kindly please check all your email box including junk/spam mail. The procedure might take up to 72 hours depending on the volume of applications.
